Royal Train Tour: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Spread Holiday Cheer Across the UK

On the last day of their royal train tour, and made a memorable stop at Cardiff Castle.

After visiting several cities including Edinburgh, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Batley, and Manchester, the couple arrived in Wales with a mission to spread festive cheer.

Their first engagement on Tuesday involved meeting local university students, where they listened intently to their experiences and challenges during the pandemic, particularly regarding mental health.

As part of their tour, the Duke and Duchess have been expressing gratitude to frontline workers, teachers, carers, and young people who have shown resilience during these tough times.

Their efforts are aimed at acknowledging the hard work and sacrifices made by many throughout the COVID-19 crisis.

Monday's highlights included a delightful surprise for primary school children when the couple brought along some reindeer.

This joyful moment was a reminder of the holiday spirit that the couple is eager to share.

Additionally, Kate had a heartwarming reunion with Len Gardner, an 85-year-old carer she has been in touch with through the NHS Volunteer Responder check-in scheme.

Fashion-wise, Kate made a stylish statement by recycling an elegant longline cover-up from Alexander McQueen, which she had previously worn during the launch of her Hold Still competition.

She paired the coat with a festive red tartan scarf and skirt, complemented by her chic black Ralph Lauren boots and leather gloves to ward off the chill.

Her hair was styled in a playful half-updo, showcasing golden hoop earrings designed by Welsh artisan Hayley Jones of Spells of Love.

This thoughtful choice not only highlighted her connection to Wales but also added a touch of personal flair to her ensemble.

Their visit coincided with the “Christmas at the Castle” festival, a month-long celebration filled with festive activities at the iconic tourist site.

Amidst browsing the Christmas stalls, there was a tender moment when William put his arm around Kate, embodying the warmth of the season.

The couple couldn't resist the temptation to toast marshmallows together, leading to a light-hearted exchange.
