A New Chapter for the Cambridges: Weekend Routines Set to Shift

As September rolls in, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are gearing up for a significant change in their family life.

With their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—starting at a new school, weekends are about to look quite different for the royal family.

The move to the Windsor estate marks a fresh beginning, both for the parents and their young ones.

The Cambridge children will be attending the prestigious Lamerick School, nestled in Berkshire near Ascot.

This private co-educational institution is known for its rigorous academic programs and extensive sporting activities.

However, there's a catch: the school requires students to attend on Saturdays, which means that William and Kate's weekends will be more structured than ever before.

While little Prince Louis, who is only four, will be spared from Saturday classes for now, his older siblings won't be so lucky.

Both Charlotte and George will need to head to school every Saturday morning.

Lamerick's website clearly states that Saturday school is a weekly requirement, followed by afternoon sports fixtures for students in year five and above.

For George and Charlotte, this means a busy schedule each weekend.

As for Louis, although he escapes Saturday school for the time being, he'll still have sporting events lined up on Saturday afternoons once he reaches year five.

The school prides itself on offering a wide array of sports, including football, rugby, hockey, and cricket, making it clear that physical education is a priority.

Lamerick's commitment to sports doesn't stop there.

The school provides opportunities for students to engage in golf, lacrosse, trampolining, badminton, squash, tennis, swimming, basketball, and even skiing.

With weekdays filled with school obligations and weekends now partially booked, the royal family will only have Sundays free to spend together.

This limited time for family outings might impact their usual escapes to their beloved Anmer Hall in Norfolk.
