Catherine Shines in Red at Historic Reconciliation Ceremony with First Nations

During the third day of their 2016 Canada Tour, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge participated in a momentous reconciliation ceremony with Canadian First Nations groups.

This significant event unfolded in the evening at Government House in Victoria, British Columbia, followed by a reception with local political and civic leaders.

For this memorable occasion, Catherine dazzled attendees in a stunning red midi dress designed by Preen by Thornton Brigazzi.

Known as the Finella pleated dress, it’s crafted from a luxurious stretch-crepe fabric.

The London-based design duo, Justin Thornton and Thea Brigazzi, have made a name for themselves with their elegant creations, and this dress was no exception.

Priced at £995 or around US$1,715, it was touted as an exquisite choice for any formal event.

The dress featured a striking shoulder-framing neckline and a fitted bodice that gracefully transitioned into a voluminous box-pleated skirt.

It was a perfect blend of sophistication and style, making Catherine the center of attention throughout the evening.

Adding a touch of history to her outfit, Catherine adorned herself with a diamond maple leaf brooch, graciously loaned to her by the Queen.

This exquisite piece has a rich history, having once belonged to the late Queen Mother.

King George VI originally gifted it to her during a state visit to Canada in 1939, making it a poignant accessory for the occasion.

Catherine completed her look with a pair of red Jonvito Rossi pumps, likely the Jonvito 105 style, a staple in her wardrobe as she owns them in multiple colors.

The shoes perfectly complemented the vibrant hue of her dress, enhancing her overall appearance.

To further elevate her ensemble, she carried a chic Casa bag by Jenny Packham.

This angular frame box clutch, made from luxurious red pony hair, features a crystal-encrusted clasp.

With a price tag of approximately £1,300 or US$1,700, it’s a statement piece that showcases Catherine’s refined taste.

The bag is not just stylish but also functional, boasting a silk cotton lining, a small inside pocket, and even a matching mirror.

It’s worth noting that Catherine previously sported a similar Jenny Packham bag during the James Bond Spectre premiere back in October 2015.

To add a touch of elegance to her outfit, Catherine opted for Sourou jewellery baroque pearl earrings.
