Catherine and Prince William’s Big Move: A New Chapter in Windsor

Prince William and Kate Middleton are embarking on a significant transition as they prepare to relocate from Kensington Palace in London to their new residence at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.

However, this move comes with a notable change for their children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will be without their beloved live-in nanny, Maria Borallo, for the first time in their lives.

Maria has been a trusted member of the Cambridge family since Prince George was just eight months old.

Over the years, she has taken care of all three children, providing them with stability and support.

Unfortunately, the new home, which is part of the Queen's Windsor estate, only boasts four bedrooms, leaving no space for Borallo to reside with them.

Even though Maria won't be living in their new home, William and Kate have decided to keep her on as the children's caretaker.

She will, however, be residing at a different property, along with other household staff, including a housekeeper.

This change marks a significant adjustment for the children, who have enjoyed having Borallo by their side for nearly eight years.

Borallo, originally from Spain, has been a familiar face at numerous royal events, often seen in the distinctive attire of Norland College, where she honed her childcare skills.

Her presence has extended beyond daily routines; she frequently accompanies the family on vacations and spends time with them at their country retreat in Norfolk, Anmer Hall.

One of the primary motivations behind William and Kate's move is to be closer to their children's new school in Berkshire, which is set to begin in September.

According to a family friend, the couple is focused on providing a more grounded upbringing for George, Charlotte, and Louis, amidst their royal lifestyle.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are committed to being actively involved in their children's daily lives, aiming to be present for school drop-offs and family meals.

Their new home is conveniently located just a short distance from Queen Elizabeth II, who resides nearby, and not far from Kate's parents, Michael and Carol Middleton, in Bucklebury.

Windsor offers the Cambridge children ample opportunities for outdoor play, thanks to its expansive parklands.

This environment allows them to invite friends over for playdates and enjoy privacy while walking their dog or hosting guests.

Sources indicate that the family plans to settle into Adelaide Cottage before the new school term kicks off, ensuring a smooth transition for the children.
