As he pulled a pint and bantered with fans, he declared Wrexham as every football fan's second club, a nod to the club's remarkable resurgence under its new ownership.

The prince, a devoted Aston Villa supporter, took a keen interest in the story of Wrexham's revival, which has captivated fans far and wide.

He engaged with local fans about their experiences since McElheny and Reynolds took over, breathing new life into the club and leading it back to the Football League after a 15-year absence.
