Meghan Markle Takes the Lead: Royal Expert Weighs In on Power Dynamics

In a recent discussion, royal commentator Angela Levin made some bold claims about 's influence over .

According to Levin, Meghan's recent choices clearly indicate who is steering the ship in their relationship.

This revelation was shared during an appearance on GB News, where Levin engaged with hosts Eamonn Holmes and Isabel Webster.

The conversation kicked off with a look at Meghan's playful mock curtsy featured in her Netflix documentary.

Isabel couldn't help but point out how exaggerated it seemed, noting Harry's visibly stricken expression in response.

Levin chimed in, questioning why Harry didn't intervene during that moment.

“It shows you not just who is in charge,” she asserted, “but also that she doesn't care what he thinks.

He would be very hurt, especially since he loved the Queen.”

The hosts then delved into the sensitive topic of Harry and Meghan naming their daughter .

This name holds deep significance, being a cherished nickname for II, used only by those closest to her.

Reports surfaced indicating that the late Queen was displeased with the choice, feeling that the Sussexes had appropriated a name that was deeply personal.

Levin recounted how once expressed, “I don't own the palaces, I don't own the paintings, the only thing I own is my name.

And now they've taken that.”

Adding to the intrigue, Levin revealed that Meghan had even gone so far as to trademark the name Diana before their daughter was born.

This move, she explained, was discovered prior to Lilibet's arrival on June 4, 2021, at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

It seems Meghan intended to secure the name for potential commercial use, which has raised eyebrows among royal watchers.

Lilibet Diana is the couple's second child, following their son Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, who is now four years old.

The dynamics within the royal family have been under scrutiny since the release of Harry and Meghan's Netflix documentary, which offered an intimate glimpse into their experiences within the monarchy.

The documentary was released in two parts, with six episodes airing in December 2022.

It sparked considerable media attention and public debate regarding their tumultuous relationship with the royal family.

Following this, 's memoir, “Spare,” further explored the tensions and challenges he faced growing up in the royal spotlight.

As the dust settles from these revelations, Meghan is reportedly working on her own memoir.

This endeavor appears to be part of her strategy to rebuild her brand, especially after signing with the prestigious talent agency William Morris Endeavor.
