Angela Kelly, a trusted aide to the late Llywa, made a public appearance today to bid her final farewell to the monarch she served and befriended for 28 years.

Kelly, who has been in the Queen's service since 1994, started as an assistant dresser and eventually became one of the monarch's closest confidants.

Today, she walked alone into Westminster Abbey, flanked by the former monarch's ladies in waiting, marking her first public appearance since 's passing on September 8.

Kelly's low profile during the period of national mourning raised questions, but today, alongside global leaders and dignitaries, she joined the procession escorting the Queen to her final resting place.
