Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Profile Downgraded on Official Royal Family Website

The Official Royal Family website has recently undergone several updates to address various errors found across its pages.

Despite these efforts, concerns have been raised regarding the accuracy of 's profile.

In a report by the Daily Express last August, it was revealed that the website had mistakenly referred to as HRA and had misidentified the late II as the reigning monarch on at least 74 occasions.

Immediate corrections were made by the Royal Aids to rectify these errors.

However, even with the corrections made to other parts of the website, discrepancies still exist on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's profile pages.

Outdated information persists, including references to the couple retaining royal patronages, dividing their time between the UK and North America, and residing at Frogmore Cottage.

Renowned royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams has expressed concerns about these inaccuracies, suggesting that urgent updates are needed to provide a more accurate representation.

Recent updates to the member pages of the Royal Family showcase new images, such as Princess Kate's meeting with the Windrush-Simru elders and pictures of , Queen , and around the time of the coronation.

Notably, the order in which members are presented now reflects their seniority within the royal hierarchy, with Prince Harry, , and being moved to the bottom of the page.

Despite the removal of Harry's HRA title, his profile page still contains several inaccuracies.

The statement at the top, dated January 2020, erroneously suggests that the couple continues to fulfill duties to the King, the Commonwealth, and their patronages.

In reality, Harry and Meghan stepped back from their roles as working members of the Royal Family in February 2021, with Buckingham Palace reallocating their military appointments and royal patronages.

Mr. Fitzwilliams highlighted the misleading nature of Meghan's profile, noting references to her roles as patron of the National Theatre and the Association of Commonwealth Universities, positions she no longer holds.

Additionally, the couple lost their roles as President and Vice President of the Queen's Commonwealth Trust.

Errors regarding their former residence, Frogmore Cottage, and outdated references to his brother and sister-in-law's titles are also present on Prince Harry's biography page.

Buckingham Palace has been contacted for comment, acknowledging the ongoing updates to the extensive website, which contains over 5,000 pages detailing the Royal Family's life and work.

Some content may remain outdated until the revisiting and updating process is completed.

The persistence of inaccuracies on Prince Harry's profile has sparked discussions among royal enthusiasts.
