Hot Gossip: Priyanka Chopra Ends Fake Friendship with Meghan Markle

Actress Priyanka Chopra has reportedly put an end to her friendship with the Duchess of Sussex, , after discovering that Meghan allegedly used her for ulterior motives.

The rift between the two stars began when Meghan skipped Priyanka's wedding to singer Nick Jonas, causing Priyanka to feel betrayed.

In retaliation, Priyanka decided to bail on attending Meghan's star-studded baby shower in New York, as reported by Page Six.com.

Despite their once close relationship, the bond between the two actresses seems to have been shattered by this recent turn of events.

Priyanka, known for her role in “Quantico,” was a guest at Meghan and 's wedding in May last year.

However, when it came time for Meghan to reciprocate the gesture by attending Priyanka's wedding to Jonas in December, she declined, leaving Priyanka feeling devastated, according to a close source.

This perceived snub led Priyanka to skip Meghan's baby shower last week, hosted by Serena Williams and Amal Clooney at the Mark Hotel in New York, with attendees including Gayle King.

While Priyanka cited work commitments for her absence, insiders suggest that the real reason lies in the hurt feelings caused by Meghan's absence at her wedding.

Sources close to the situation revealed to Us Weekly that Meghan's decision not to attend Priyanka's wedding was allegedly due to her pregnancy at the time.

The fallout from this incident has reportedly led Priyanka to believe that their friendship is irreparably damaged unless Meghan offers an apology.

Priyanka, a global star with a massive social media following, feels that Meghan's actions showed a lack of respect towards her and their friendship, leading to the current rift between them.

In a separate development, a recent poll conducted in the UK indicates that a majority of British citizens are against and participating in the upcoming Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The Queen has extended an invitation to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to join the royal family in commemorating her historic 70th year on the throne during a long bank holiday weekend in June.

Should they choose to attend, they would be permitted to appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace and attend a service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral, but would not play an active role in events such as the Trooping the Colour parade due to their reduced royal roles.

Techne UK's survey revealed that 74% of respondents preferred Prince Harry and Meghan to stay away from the Jubilee celebrations, with only 16% in favor of their participation and 10% undecided.

The poll, conducted among 1,624 British voters between April 20 and 21, showed a consistent trend across different age groups, with a significant portion of the population expressing reservations about the Sussexes' involvement in the historic event.

During a recent interview with Hoda Kotb on NBC's Today show, Prince Harry hinted at the uncertainties surrounding his potential return to the UK for the Jubilee celebrations.

When asked about joining his relatives for the special occasion, he admitted, “I don't know yet.

There's lots of things with security issues and everything else.”

Harry expressed his desire to facilitate a meeting between his children and the Queen, highlighting the complexities involved in planning such a trip.

The whereabouts of the Queen's last meeting with Harry and Meghan's son, Harrison, remain unknown, as the young royal has been residing outside the UK since late 2019.
