Megan Markle found herself in a rather awkward situation as she became the subject of mockery by Australian TV hosts on Sunrise Australia.

The Duchess of Sussex had the hosts bursting into laughter as they watched a video of her reading her children's book, The Bench.

In a recent appearance on a children's YouTube story channel, Megan was seen reading from her book while situated in the garden of her $14 million mansion in Montecito, California.

However, the performance did not quite hit the mark with Sunrise hosts Karl Stefanovic, Alison Langdon, and Alex Cullen, who couldn't contain their laughter as they played the video live.

The Today team also shared the video, showcasing their amused reaction to Megan's reading.

The hosts burst into laughter when the video ended, with Mr. Stefanovic admitting how challenging it was to keep a straight face throughout the clip.

Amidst the laughter, the hosts commented on the timing of the book's publication, shortly after the birth of Diana.

Co-host Alison Langdon questioned why it was difficult to maintain composure, praising the story as lovely.

In a sarcastic tone, Mr. Cullen remarked on the story's fascinating nature, leading Mr. Stefanovic to humorously reference a line from Megan's book, prompting the hosts to break into a rendition of “Pump Up the Jam” by Technotronic.

While members of the royal family have been showing their support by visiting the Queen at Windsor Castle and keeping her company through phone calls during her recovery, Harry and Megan have been under scrutiny for not making the trip to the UK.

Royal fans expressed disappointment over the perceived absence of and Lilibet from their great-grandmother's side, with some labeling Harry as selfish for not prioritizing the family connection.

Criticism towards Harry intensified on social media, with one fan expressing disbelief at the couple's choices despite their resources, while another questioned Harry's priorities and speculated about his motives regarding inheritance.

In defense of Harry, some fans pointed out that other royals, including the Cambridges and Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, were also away from the UK at the time.

However, the focus remained on Harry and Megan's decision not to bring Lilibet to meet the Queen, with contrasting opinions emerging on whether Harry's absence was justified or deserving of criticism.
