The Duchess of Sussex is contemplating a return to the fold after she and Prince Harry distanced themselves from royal duties in 2020, leading to strained relations with the monarchy.

Considering financial challenges faced by the couple, Meghan is contemplating spending a significant portion of the year in California, where the Sussexes currently reside in Montecito.

The rest of the time would be spent renting an apartment at Kensington Palace.

This arrangement is seen as a way to not only strengthen her bond with Prince Harry but also to mend fences with King Charles, who desires a family reconciliation.

However, sources reveal that King Charles has set a non-negotiable condition for this plan to materialize – Meghan and Harry must refrain from making negative comments about the royal family in the media.

An insider shared with Life and Style magazine that it is imperative for the couple to agree to this stipulation to avoid facing expulsion from the family once again.

Recent developments, including a birthday phone call between Harry, Meghan, and the King, indicated a thaw in relations between the feuding parties, with the possibility of an invitation to Sandringham for Christmas not being ruled out.

Yet, the release of Omid Scobie's controversial book “Endgame” has likely reignited tensions within the family.

Royal expert Duncan Larkham acknowledged the current rift but pointed out that there is always a path back for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
