Prince Louis Requests Daily Outdoor Playtime After School

, the youngest child of and Catherine, Princess of Wales, has a special request for his mother after school hours.

During a recent visit to Wales, Catherine shared that Louis asked to play outside in the garden every day once he finishes school.

The princess mentioned that all her children enjoy outdoor activities, but Louis, in particular, has a deep fondness for playing outside and exploring nature.

Catherine, known for advocating outdoor activities, emphasized the importance of children spending time in nature for their overall well-being.

She expressed her belief in the benefits of outdoor play while visiting a therapy garden at the Rehabilitation Centre in Wales.

Catherine recounted Louis coming home and expressing his need to release his energy, highlighting his enthusiasm for outdoor play.

Currently attending Lambrook School for his first year, joins his siblings, Prince George and , at the school located in Windsor.

Despite being described as “pretty bucolic” by parents, Lambrook School offers unique opportunities for outdoor engagement, such as Forest Fridays, where young students build dens and enjoy roasted marshmallows around a fire.

During her Wales visit, Catherine praised the therapeutic effects of gardening and outdoor activities on physical and mental health.

She noted how gardening and horticulture can reduce stress, anxiety, and boost self-esteem.

Catherine recalled her visit to a forest school in Denmark earlier in 2022, where children enjoyed singing around campfires, highlighting the positive impact of nature-based activities on children's development.

Reflecting on the children's transition to the new school last September, Sunday Times royal editor Roya Nikar described Lambrook School as an ideal environment for the royal siblings.

Nikar highlighted the school's emphasis on outdoor experiences, including the presence of animals, a miniature golf course, and roaming peacocks, providing a unique and enriching educational setting for the young royals.

The Windsor school's focus on outdoor learning aligns with William and Catherine's parenting philosophy of encouraging their children to embrace outdoor activities and lead a more ordinary life.

Catherine's visit to the Rehabilitation Centre in Wales underscored her commitment to promoting the benefits of outdoor play and connecting with nature for children's holistic development.
