Royal Tribute: Princess Kate Honors Late Queen with Pearl Earrings

The Princess of Wales, Kate, paid homage to the late Queen by adorning herself with Her Majesty's pearl earrings during a lunch gathering at Buckingham Palace alongside members of the Royal Family.

Dressed in a traditional all-black ensemble, Kate, aged 40, continued the custom following the Queen's passing on September 8, a practice she is expected to maintain until the conclusion of the mourning period on September 26.

For the occasion, she elegantly sported a bespoke ankle-length dress as part of the luncheon, where Royal Family members engaged with dignitaries from the Commonwealth in anticipation of tomorrow's monumental reception.

During the afternoon event, Kate was captured sharing smiles with Camilla, who held a drink with a lemon slice as they engaged in conversation.

At one point, the Princess, adorned with a lengthy three-strand pearl necklace and matching bracelet, gently placed her hand on the arm of St Lucia Governor-General Cyril Errol Melchiodes Charles during their interaction.

Among those present were the Governors-General from Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, the Bahamas, Belize, Canada, Grenada, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, the Solomon Islands, and Tuvalu.

Edward and the Countess of Wessex, Sophie, received cheers from the eagerly awaiting crowds as they departed from the event, taking time to engage with well-wishers.

Edward interacted with mourners, inquiring about their origins and whether they intended to proceed to Green Park to lay flowers, expressing his gratitude for the overwhelming support.

Meanwhile, Sophie received bouquets and a stuffed toy before pausing to admire a young girl's T-shirt adorned with images of the Queen from various stages of her reign.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex also approached members of the public standing behind barriers at Green Park's edge.

In a heartwarming gesture, Charles and his son William pleasantly surprised numerous onlookers waiting to pay their respects to the Queen lying in state by embarking on an impromptu walkabout.

The duo expressed gratitude to emergency service personnel for their dedicated efforts during the mourning period leading up to the state funeral on Monday.

The new monarch of Britain and the Prince of Wales warmly greeted exhausted royal enthusiasts who had queued for up to 14 hours to view the Queen's coffin at the Palace of Westminster.
