Royal Family Unveils Stunning Coronation Portrait
In a momentous display of regal lineage and continuity, the royal family has revealed a captivating new coronation portrait featuring three generations of kings – Charles III, Prince William, and young Prince George of Wales.
This historic photograph, unveiled for the first time, echoes a similar image released in 2020 by the late Queen Elizabeth, emphasizing the enduring message of legacy and future prosperity.
Captured by esteemed society photographer Hugo Byrne, the portrait was taken last Saturday in the throne room following the coronation of King Charles III.
His Majesty exudes grandeur as he sits adorned in full regalia, donning the robe of estate and the imperial state crown while clutching the sovereign's orb and sceptre with cross.
Seated upon a regal 1902 throne chair crafted for the future King George V, King Charles III embodies the essence of monarchy and tradition.
Standing beside the king is his son and heir, the Prince of Wales, resplendent in the ceremonial dress uniform of the Welsh Guards and the prestigious order of the garter mantle.
Meanwhile, Prince George of Wales, now positioned as second in line to the throne, radiates confidence in his scarlet and gold page of honour uniform, a stark contrast to his initial camera shyness.
Another official photograph captures the king and Her Majesty the Queen alongside their attendants and pages of honour.
Queen Camilla exudes elegance in Queen Mary's crown and a stunning Bruce Oldfield gown and robe of estate, flanked by her sister, Annabel Elliot, and close confidante, the Marchioness of Lansdowne, both dressed by Oldfield.
However, the spotlight falls on the eight young boys who dutifully served on the momentous day, showcasing unwavering dedication despite the weight of expectation.
Among the young attendants are Master Ralph Ptolemish, Lord Oliver Cholmondeley, Master Nicholas Barclay, and Prince George of Wales standing on King Charles' right.
On Queen Camilla's left stand her grandson, Master Freddie Parker Bowles, nephew Master Arthur Elliot, and twin grandsons Master Gus Lopez and Master Louis Lopez.
