Meghan Markle’s Interview Choices Under Fire

, the Duchess of Sussex, has come under scrutiny for allegedly opting for the path of least resistance by selecting an interview with Jimmy Fallon.

Originally scheduled to appear on NBC's Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in September to promote her Spotify podcast, Archetypes, the engagement was postponed following the passing of .

However, the channel later confirmed Meghan's rescheduled appearance for December 7th.

Despite the announcement being debunked, questions have arisen regarding Meghan's decision to feature on the talk show.

Karl Stefanovic, a prominent presenter on Nine News known for his previous criticism of Meghan, remarked, “‘ is about to complete the talk show trifecta.

First, it was Oprah, unveiling one bombshell after another, then Ellen, where she attempted to assert her relevance, and now she's secured a spot on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show.”

Entertainment reporter Sam Rubin chimed in, stating, “‘Clearly, she's opting for the path of least resistance.

With Jimmy Fallon, it's all light-hearted banter and devoid of challenging inquiries.

Being provided with the questions beforehand indicates that the conversation may lack depth.

Meghan Markle embodies various qualities, but subtlety is not one of them.”

Critics of Meghan, who are plentiful, have raised valid concerns about her apparent hypocrisy in denouncing the monarchy while still benefiting from its privileges.

One such instance is the controversy surrounding Meghan's reluctance to relinquish her royal titles, a situation dubbed “titlegate.”

Royal expert Angela Levin shed light on this issue during a discussion with Sarah Hewson, host of the royal tea show, alongside Matt Wilkinson from The Sun and TV pundit Afua Hagan.

Levin expressed her views, stating, “‘I believe Meghan, who previously sought privacy, is now keen on divulging every aspect of her life, reacting to every critique she receives.

This approach suggests that Meghan is resorting to provocative tactics to maintain relevance.

However, the strategy may be backfiring, as it aligns with the concept of diminishing returns.

The more one repeats an action, the less impactful it becomes.”

Levin further added, “‘It might be advisable for her to take a step back, lead a quieter life, relinquish her royal titles, and refrain from utilizing royal insignia in her correspondence.

Her current approach is becoming tiresome.”

Meghan faced backlash for including an embossed crown alongside her name in personal letters, a move deemed as pretentious by many.

Previously hailed as a power couple challenging the norms of the monarchy, Meghan and her husband, , have been exposed as individuals lacking depth and driven primarily by financial motives post their departure from royal duties.

Their narrative often revolves around themes of victimhood, with Meghan portraying herself as mistreated by her employers and Harry lamenting the loss of his financial support.

Levin emphasized the need for them to shift their focus away from self-centered narratives, advising, “‘Discover something meaningful beyond your personal interests.”

As 2023 approaches, speculations arise about the future endeavors of Meghan and Harry.

With Harry's memoir set to be released in January and the debut of a Netflix reality show on the horizon, the question remains whether the royal couple will manage to redefine their public image and narrative.
